Discovery Child Development Center offers half-day morning and a school-day pre-k class for children 4-5 with a 10:1 student to teacher ratio (20 students, 2 teachers). Our Pre-K program focuses on school readiness skills through independent learning centers for math, writing, computer, discovery, and art. Students participate in small-group reading, language arts, writing, math, and early robotics lessons to move students forward at their skill level. During whole group time, children engage in storytelling, music, movement, and Spanish lessons. Additionally, children collaborate with their peers and teachers in project-based activities throughout the school year. Through this comprehensive approach, our pre-k students develop essential literacy, oral language, writing, mathematical, and social skills, while also engaging and motivating learners to ask questions and seek answers. We offer a variety program options to meet your family's needs including: morning half-day, morning half-day with lunch bunch, school day (9am-3pm), and school day with aftercare until 5:00pm. Families can choose 3-day or 5-day enrollment options.
Enrollment Requirements
- Age Requirement: Children must be 4 years old by August 31st to enroll in our preschool program.
- Potty Training: All children must be fully potty trained before starting the pre-k program.
- Family Tour: We require all families to schedule and complete a tour of our facility before enrolling in the pre-k program.
