Registration for the 2026–2027 school year opens in January 2026.
Discovery Child Development Center serves Cary & Morrisville families with Young Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, TK, and Kindergarten programs focused on small classes, daily Spanish, and project-based learning.

How Admissions Works
- Schedule a Tour – Visit classrooms, meet teachers, and ask questions.
- Apply – Submit your application and $40 application fee.
- Enrollment – Receive an offer (or waitlist update) and complete registration.

January 7 – Re-enrollment opens for currently enrolled families
January 20 – Registration opens for new families
January 24 (10:00 AM–12:00 PM) – Discovery Open House
Enrollment procedure for preschool and kindergarten
The first step in our enrollment process is scheduling a tour or attending an open house. During the tour or open house, parents will learn more about our programs, philosophy and policies as well as visit the classrooms.
After the initial tour or open house, parents can apply by completing an application and submitting it to our main office.
After we process an application, we will make an offer of admission by providing the family with our enrollment contract. Only the enrollment contract secures a space in our preschool program.
If the space is unavailable in the family's desired classroom, the child will be placed on the waiting list (families only need to complete the application to be on the waiting list). The enrollment contract is not signed until a space becomes available.

Tuition & Fees
Application fee: A non-refundable $40 application fee is due with the school application.
Registration fee: A non-refundable $275 registration fee is due at the time of enrollment.
Payment Options
- Pay in full: Tuition may be paid at the beginning of the school year (5% discount).
- Monthly plan: Tuition may be paid in 10 equal installments. The first installment is due July 15, and the remaining installments are due on the 1st of each month (if the 1st falls on a weekend, payment is due on Monday).
Late payments: After a 5-day grace period, a $25 late fee applies.
Prorated tuition: Children enrolling after our start date will have tuition prorated. The exact amount will be provided at registration and stated in the tuition contract.

Do you offer Pre-Kindergarten?
Yes. Our Pre-K (ages 4–5) focuses on kindergarten readiness through small classes, daily Spanish, and project-based learning.
What areas do you serve?
Primarily Cary & Morrisville, with families from Apex, Raleigh, and Durham across the Triangle.
What schedules are available?
Half-day, school-day, and extended-care options vary by program.
How long does the process take?
After your tour and application, most families receive next steps within 1–3 business days.
