Virtual Learning
Discovery is currently offering both an in-person, as well as a virtual learning option. Our remote program includes daily morning circles, daily small group instruction, weekly one-on-one sessions, offline activities and special events. We maintain small ratios for our remote classes.

Sample Daily Schedule
9:30 - 9:55 Morning Meeting (Zoom)
10:00 - 10:20 Small group #1 meets - Rest of the class begins working on daily activities which may include Seesaw, learning packets, prerecorded videos
10:20 - 10:40 Students take a break on their own for snack or a movement break
10:40 - 11:00 Small group #2 meets - rest of the class works on daily activities
11:00 - 12:00 Teacher conducts 1:1 with students, while the rest of the class completes daily activities
- Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities to help in their social, emotion, physical, cognitive and language development

Key Elements of Remote Learning
- Daily 25 minute live morning meeting giving students an overview of the day, and will include the following - academic instruction, games, songs, books and more
- Daily 20 minute small group instruction - students will get a chance to interact with each other, teacher will review math/language arts and additional academic concepts, and will play learning games
- Daily posted offline instruction - could include Seesaw activities, learning packets, art activities, recorded videos
- Weekly 1:1 (10-15 minutes) individual sessions with teacher
- Learning kits provided to each student containing materials and manipulative needed for activities
- Predictable routine and schedule for students
